Oh oh oh It's Magic!

Today we landed in the Magic Kingdom.  All our fast passes were for the more intense rides but I decided we needed a little history first.  We started in the Hall of Presidents where we learned that the only NH president, Franklin Pierce, is the reason that when sworn in (in court or as president) you can opt to say you "affirm" instead of "solemnly swear" because as a Puritan it was against his religion to swear.  Today's history lesson is brought to you today by the letter M and by the number 14.

The movie is new and all presidents are accounted for.  Ally said if Donald Trump ends up there she won't go again!!!

Ok, on to the big rides.  Welcome to thunder mountain.  I got an amazing couple of shots with the camera over my shoulder! (the one time I took out the good camera....)
Next to Splash Mountain.  Except we were 20 minutes too early and the wait time was 10 minutes...  So we went in the regular line!  Boat selfie!
And since we had the fast pass they made me do it again! *For the record, I hate ides that drop you.  Which is pretty much all of them.  I'm such an anxious mess I hardly enjoy any of the ride but I was putting on a brave face for Evan and the terrified little girl in the boat with us.... so to go on again is me being a REALLY good mom....*

We had a little time before the next ride so we headed over to Frontierland to play the kids Sorcerer cards.  Somehow that turned into checkers for Arron and Ally.  (He smoked her!)

And shooting for Evan and me.  I always wanted to try this when I was little but my parents wouldn't let me!  Now I see why - it was kinda lame....

Finally the sorcer cards.  This was when the bickering started....  My kids rarely argue so I knew they were getting tired...

So I put them in timeout.

We hit the next roller coaster - the one I missed last time - Seven Dwarfs mine cart.  I made the kids sit behind so I could get photos of their reactions.
I was shocked but I loved that ride.  It was super pretty.  But I was glad we didn't wait in the 2 hour line because it was short!  I then  made them all wait in the super long line for the Haunted Mansion because I always remember it fondly even if it ends up feeling a little lame when you ride it.  But in the long line I got one of my favorite pictures ever:

Totally cracks me up.  By the time we finally got through, those faces were pretty accurate.  Time to head home and regroup for...
The Luau!
Got the kids in their matching outfits and headed to the Polynesian Resort for dinner.  I quickly learned they like to cook heavily in sesame oil (which I am super allergic to) so I got my own special meal.

Me and my beautiful girl.

They have one part where they call the kids up to learn a dance.  Evan was waiting and waiting and suddenly had to run to the bathroom... And missed the whole thing!  Ugh...  Ally said it was like a big game of Just Dance.  At least we had one kid represent...

My sad boy that I was trying to cheer up....

For the second half of the show the kids moved to front row seats and we watched the two of them Twitter back and forth together, thick as thieves.  Glad they were getting along again.

It's a pretty cool show.  Evan wanted to know how the girls "move their bums" like that....

And he said he was going to show everyone he knows the video of the fire dancer.  So be ready.....Tiki picture on the way out!

We always check out gift shops and Evan ran over to the stuffed animals and yelled "HOLY STITCH" to our amusement and the amusement of most of the store!

But we had to run home to go swimming!  In 62 degree weather!  But swimming!  Yeah, wasn't happy with the idea.  Neither were the lifeguards- they closed the big pool at 8 tonight and we got there at 8:15.  So we went to the little pool instead.  Ally was first in?

Evan was right behind her...

And here I am.  On the side.  Wearing a jacket, sweats and drinking hot coffee because these 3 other people are out of their frickin minds!

I ditched them when my teeth started chattering....

Tomorrow - magic kingdom part 2!  And maybe other stuff....  Only 2 days left and a lot to squeeze in!!!!
