They were loving the outfits, but Evan was having no part of his pirate hat. That's ok, he's adorable anyway...
Being November, the parks are decked out for the holidays already. It was beautiful, although there was less decor up than I expected. Maybe it looks like more at night...
They made it hard to take a good picture of the castle, though.
Maybe a little closer with my Cinderella - it is her castle after all.
Knowing we had Evan with us, we decided to start out easy and headed over towards It's a Small World. On the way there, Mickey's Philharmagic was just about to start with no wait so we went there first. It is a 3D movie with pieces of all the recent Disney movies in it - fairly low key on the scary scale - and both of my kids were terrified! Even Ally, who has seen this before, was too frightened to put on her glasses! I was shocked. To bring it down a notch, we then went on It's a Small World.
These are the faces of much happier children. :) Both of them had a blast. Arron secretly wished he could have some softballs to throw, but at least it was cool in there.
Afterward, we got a fastpass for Peter Pan (and to this day I still don't understand why that ride is sooooo popular) and headed over next door to the Haunted Mansion. Again a ride Ally has been on before, and she was absolutely terrified! I felt so bad for taking her on there. Evan was fine but Ally spent the entire ride buried in my side with her ears plugged! (hence, no pictures!) The poor kid. Looking to make it up to her, we went to the Hall of Presidents. She was really psyched here - she has studied a couple of presidents at school and she was proud to know a little bit before we went in. Evan was hamming it up with her for the camera.
See what I mean? Such hams...
Evan was antsy, but Ally loved it. I felt better. I was feeling a little guilty for scaring my baby half to death. Although she didn't really like this...
After a quick lunch, we moved on to the Pirates of the Caribbean (Evan loved it, Ally was anxious but got over it), and Thunder Mountain. I went on Thunder Mountain with Ally and Arron went on Splash Mountain with her. Figured we would divide and conquer! It was her first time on Splash Mountain so I wanted to get a picture- notice Arron's hat:
still there, although he looks like he's holding it:
uh, no hat. Never to be seen again.
It's all good though. Ally was happy, so Arron was too.
We were getting tired, so we picked up the train to get to Tomorrowland. Evan loves trains.
Both of them were soooo tired, but they were still smiling...
At Tomorrowland, Space Mountain has been closed for months. It is supposed to open next Monday so we were afraid we were going to miss it - and today they were "testing" the ride! Yay! So Ally got her first ride on Space Mountain, and it was her favorite of the entire day. We even snuck in one last ride on Buzz Lightyear before we started heading out.Epcot tomorrow!
