Today was Epcot, part II. The other day we had only covered 1/2 of Epcot, and 1/2 of the World Showcase. Today, we covered the other 1/2 of Epcot, road Soarin again, then completed ALL of the World Showcase in our longest day at the park. Maybe that's why my feet hurt so badly!
You have to have a golf ball photo, right? Although for the 2nd time the ride was closed for renovations. They are only opening it a few times a week so they can redo the ride - we heard it will be open tomorrow so we may try again. Instead, we sent Daddy to get Soarin Fast Passes and we headed over to Test Track. It was much better than I remembered, even if it did have 1/2 an hour wait. Ally was excited from the moment we stepped in the car.
I took photos over my shoulder again. Here was the "heat" test:
And a sharp hairpin curve:
I love that Nana screams as much as Ally does! Next we went to the Universe of Energy, and walked right in! I love it when that happens, because it is a long ride and you can hit it really wrong.
After the 1/2 hour journey with Ellen and (my favorite) Bill Nye the science guy, it was time for our Soarin Ride. This time Grampy got to come with us.
If you have never been on it, it looks something like this:
Afterward, we had lunch and ventured into Innoventions, which is a little pavillion off the beaen path. They had a computer simulated race that you can play and race against other kids. You design and name your own robot first, and here is Ally's:
Then you use the foot pads to race. You have to run, jump, and turn to get to the end. Nana and I ended up taking a turn to get her to the finish line.... daddy did one too, and he came in 3rd. But he for 1st for style!
After, you create your own little pastic robots, which are yours to keep. Everyone but Arthur made one! Here they are:
After this, it was the World Showcase. This time we started on the Mexico side and walked the whole way... Here are some hilights: Ally in Norway with the troll:
